Benefits of garlic to lower blood pressure and the benefits of vitamin C as an antioxidant compounds has been widely known. Approximately,
what happens if both are combined?

Garlic extracts has indeed been shown to help lower blood pressure. This is because the garlic extracts may help increase the production of compound Nitric Oxide (NO). NO compounds serve to instruct the muscles in blood vessels to relax so that blood vessels dilate and increase blood flow. Then, it also results in decreased blood pressure.

Latest research results listed in the Journal Nutrition Research, shows that the ability of garlic extracts to lower blood pressure can be enhanced by vitamin C. In comparison, extracts of garlic compound could increase NO production by 2-fold, whereas the combination of garlic extracts and vitamin C can increase the production of NO compounds to 3-fold.
