Furniture Care Tips from Rattan

Are you a lover of classic furniture made from natural materials like wood or rattan? To stay looking beautiful, you must be diligent care. Here are tips on caring for furniture made of rattan:

Wood and rattan have long used as basic material furniture. In addition to strong furniture made of wood or rattan look more elegant than other materials. Material selection, construction, design and good finishing make wood and rattan furniture often have their own class and prestige.

Chair or table made of rattan is lighter and simpler so that the match was placed in a small room and easy to move.

To care for rattan furniture is very easy :
  • To remove dust use a brush, vacuum cleaner or a small compressor. Avoid using a cloth. The use of cloth often causes scratches on the surface of antique furniture.
  • Do not use chemicals when cleaning because it can damage the rattan.
  • Clean the dust regularly at least 1 week.

  • Place of rattan furniture in a place not exposed to rain and direct sunlight. This can make your furniture become faded, dry so easily damaged.
  • To avoid termites, you can use a solution of camphor (camphor) and kerosene. Spray the solvent on the rattan, or enter in the holes made by termites in your rattan furniture.
  • Rattan furniture is not resistant to weather changes. Thus, the placement should be indoor.
  • For furniture chairs and tables should be given the base, bearing. This is intended to avoid furniture scratches the surface layer.
